Death's Bookkeeper - a Shadowdark Weird Tale

Death's Bookkeeper!

In this a Level 3-5 Solo Shadowdark adventure inspired by the Weird Tales Jam, and the classic 1957 movie, The Seventh Seal. You are Mortem Tabularius – Death’s Book Keeper…and sometimes, Death’s minder. This is not a standard crawler and will involve NPC interactions and character choices that could cost your character their life.

The First Seal of Solomon has been broken as Death ignores his duty over an obsession with an obscure, yet honorable Swedish knight. The Four Horsemen roam the lands – War, Famine, Pestilence and Plague. The Black Plague, winnows the ranks of Mankind without mercy – yet the souls remain uncollected!

The Second Seal groans under this weight and if it breaks, all the World falls into war of brother against brother, mother against daughter, and the march to the End of Days is all but assured.

You must distract Death from his obsession, and get him back to work reaping souls before it’s too late!
